The NJ Zip program will be funding an additional 9.25 million in NEW EV purchases in the greater Newark, Camden, and New Brunswick area on a first-come, first-served basis!
Who is eligible?
Anyone other than state agencies located in the greater New Brunswick area and who plan to use their vehicle for 75% of total miles in NJ as well as 50% in the greater New Brunswick area, OR those who have it registered in the greater New Brunswick area. Applicants must also be registered as a NJ business, in good tax standing, etc.
How much money?
There is $100,000 for Class 6 vehicles which are 19,501 GVW to 26,000 GVW and additional bonus money for small businesses, women-owned businesses, minority, and veteran-owned businesses.
(A small business is defined as having 5 million or less in annual revenues and/or less than 25 full-time employees.)
